What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a body-based approach that helps process trauma and painful experiences that may feel stuck. This might include the traumatic death or loss of a beloved pet or loved one, challenges from difficult or abusive relationships, childhood wounds, medical or caregiving trauma, or the lingering impact of anxiety and overwhelm for Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs) and neurodivergent individuals. It can also support sustained recovery from substance use by helping process the underlying trauma.

I find Brainspotting to be a deeply effective tool for releasing overwhelming experiences, easing painful emotions, and creating space for healing when talk therapy alone isn’t enough. It can be seamlessly integrated into regular psychotherapy sessions or offered in sessions specifically focused on Brainspotting, depending on your needs and comfort.

I completed my initial training in 2018 and continue to grow my skills through advanced trainings and the latest research. I also draw on training in mindfulness, meditation, Buddhist philosophy, and nature- and animal-based resources to support your healing, growth, and resilience.

If you’re interested in Brainspotting, I invite you to schedule a session to explore how this approach could support your healing.
