Texas Pet Loss Counseling

Pet Loss Counseling

Compassionate therapy for adults grieving the loss of a beloved companion animal. Serving Austin in person and clients throughout Texas through secure online counseling.

You Are Not Alone in Your Grief

Your pet was more than a companion. They were part of your family, your daily life, and your emotional world. When a beloved animal dies, the grief can feel overwhelming, especially when others don't understand the depth of the bond you shared.

Whether you are coping with a recent loss, facing an end-of-life decision, or struggling with grief long after your pet has died, pet loss counseling can provide a place to process your emotions with someone who understands

Loss of a Special Bond

My Approach

Pet loss is a deeply personal experience, and healing does not mean forgetting or "moving on" from the bond you shared. My approach combines grief counseling, trauma-informed therapy, and mind-body approaches to help you process your loss while honoring the significance of your relationship with your pet.

Together, we will create space for the emotions that come with pet loss. Sadness, guilt, anger, uncertainty, and love. While supporting your natural healing process. Therapy can help you make sense of your experience, regulate your nervous system, and integrate your grief in a way that allows you to carry your connection with your pet forward.

My approach may include:

  • Brainspotting to support the processing of traumatic or overwhelming experiences, including sudden loss, difficult euthanasia experiences, or distressing veterinary events.

  • Nervous system regulation to help your body find a greater sense of safety and balance during a time of emotional upheaval.

  • Emotional processing to explore and work through the complex feelings that often accompany pet loss.

  • Grief integration to honor your relationship with your pet while finding a way to move forward with love, meaning, and connection.

Your grief reflects the depth of the bond you shared. My goal is to provide a compassionate space where that bond is recognized and your loss is honored.
